ISTANBUL (AA) - Russia on Tuesday placed top Baltic officials on its wanted list for "criminal charges."
Among the top officials, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Estonia’s State Secretary Taimar Peterkop were placed by Russia’s Interior Ministry on its database.
The Russian Interior Ministry also put other key figures, including Lithuanian Culture Minister Simonas Kairys, Latvian Justice Minister Inese Libina-Egnere, and Latvian Finance Minister Arvils Aseradens, on the wanted list.
"These are the people who are responsible for decisions that are actually an outrage against historical memory (by removing Soviet-era monuments),” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a press briefing in reaction to the decision.
