Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov says information preliminary, toll could be higher

MOSCOW (AA) - A civilian was killed and two others injured in Ukraine's shelling of Russia's Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Wednesday.
In a statement on Telegram, Gladkov said the information was preliminary and the number of casualties could be higher.
"The man was in the car when fragments of a shell flew into it; he died on the spot from his wounds before the ambulance arrived. Two people were also injured," he said.
Gladkov said 12 residential buildings, 16 cars, two kindergartens and a school were hit in the Ukrainian shelling.
Meanwhile, four emergency services workers were injured in the city of Gorlovka, in the Donetsk region, the Emergency Ministry said.
"Last night, shelling from the Ukraine's armed forces set on fire the Central Urban area of Gorlovka. A fire brigade quickly arrived at the scene. When it was extinguishing fire, an explosive object was repeatedly dropped from the drone. The personnel managed to go down to the shelter," it said.
