Russia says civilian killed in Ukrainian drone attack
Defense Ministry says Ukraine launched massive drone attack on several regions, 57 drones shot down within 3 hours

MOSCOW (AA) - A civilian was killed in a Ukrainian drone attack in Russia's Bryansk region Tuesday, its governor said.
"In a targeted kamikaze-drone strike on a moving civilian vehicle traveling along the road between Kurovo and Suvorovo villages in Pogar district, unfortunately, a peaceful resident born in 1972 perished," Alexander Bogomaz said on Telegram.
The governor said "the car was completely destroyed," and that authorities provided necessary assistance and financial aid will to the victim's family.
In a separate statement, the Defense Ministry said air defense systems shot down 57 Ukrainian drones within three hours.
"Duty-bound air defense units neutralized 57 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones -- 35 were shot down above Bryansk region, nine above Rostov region, four above Kaluga and four above Tula regions, four above Moscow area including three heading toward Moscow itself, and one above Kursk region," it said.
Meanwhile, two Moscow airports, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky, suspended operations due to the air threat, according to the Federal Transport Agency (Rosaviation).
