Russia, Sri Lanka hold first joint military exercises
Russian Defense Ministry says drill taking place on territory of Asian country

MOSCOW (AA) - Russia said on Wednesday that the first-ever joint military exercise with Sri Lank, the Wolverine Trail-2025, is now underway.
In a statement, the Defense Ministry confirmed the event "is taking place on the territory of the Ground Forces Training Center in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka."
The Russian contingent is represented by military personnel from the Eastern Military District.
