MOSCOW (AA) - Russia said on Wednesday that it struck Ukraine's military industry facilities, hitting all intended targets.
"This morning, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, at enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine engaged in the production of unmanned boats, coastal missile systems, multiple launch rocket systems and explosives," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The aim of the strike has been achieved and all targets were hit, the ministry added.
Separately, the governor of Belgorod region bordering Ukraine said a man and a woman were injured in Kyiv's shelling in the city of Shebekino.
There was also a direct hit on the parking lot of an industrial enterprise; 10 cars were damaged and the roof of one of the workshops pierced through, he added.
"Operational and emergency services are working on site," he said.
Russia launched its "special military operation" in Ukraine in February 2022. The West took Ukraine's side, imposed heavy sanctions on Russia, and has been providing unprecedented economic, humanitarian, and economic assistance to Kyiv ever since.
