Russian, Kazakh presidents discuss bilateral trade, economic cooperation
Leaders reaffirm intention to further bolster ties, agree to continue contacts, says Kremlin statement

ISTANBUL (AA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday discussed bilateral trade and economic cooperation with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during a phone conversation.
"Various practical aspects of the development of mutually beneficial bilateral trade and economic cooperation, including in the energy, transport, logistics and humanitarian fields, were discussed in detail," read a statement by the Kremlin.
It further said Putin and Tokayev "reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen Russian-Kazakh allied relations and agreed to continue contacts."
A separate statement by Tokayev's office Akorda also said the meeting paid particular attention to the expansion of transit and transport routes as well as trade and economic ties.
