MOSCOW (AA) — Russian and Ukrainian ombudspersons met Friday in Belarus to discuss humanitarian cooperation, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova said.

Moskalkova said on Telegram that she and her Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Lubinets exchanged lists of prisoners of war visited by both sides "based on mutual consent and POWs’ letters to their family members."

The two officials also explored enhanced cooperation on locating missing individuals, reuniting separated families, arranging reciprocal visits to detainees, and providing aid to civilians.

Moskalkova highlighted a recent case in which a 91-year-old woman from Ukraine, requiring continuous care, was reunited with her family in Russia with the assistance of the Belarusian parliament.
