Russia’s security chief visits Kazakhstan for talks
Sergey Shoygu to meet Kazakh officials, discuss ties, regional security

ISTANBUL (AA) - Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoygu arrived Tuesday in Kazakhstan for talks on bilateral relations and regional developments, including Syria, according to an official statement.
Shoygu will hold consultations with Kazakh officials, including counterpart Gizat Nurdauletov.
Discussions will focus on security cooperation, regional and international threats and developments in Central Asia, Syria, and Afghanistan.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is also expected to meet Shoigu.
It is Shoygu’s first international visit of 2025.
