Saudi crown prince meets Eritrean president in Riyadh to explore bilateral cooperation
Eritrea is one of seven countries overlooking Red Sea

ISTANBUL (AA) – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki held talks in Riyadh on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations.
The two leaders reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation across various fields and exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest, the Saudi state news agency SPA reported.
The Eritrean president arrived in the Saudi capital on Tuesday for an official visit.
Eritrea is one of seven countries overlooking the Red Sea, along with Egypt, Sudan, Djibouti, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
Saudi Arabia is keen on ensuring security in the Red Sea, a main route for the passage of oil tankers from the Arabian Gulf to the world.
