'We will have elections very soon,' Aleksandar Vucic says

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Sunday said snap parliamentary elections in the country could be held in the next six to seven months.
"We will have elections very soon. Will it be in three or six months? There will certainly be elections in the next six to seven months," Vucic told reporters in Hungary's capital Budapest, where he is on a two-day official visit.
Serbian National Assembly is a 250-seat unicameral legislature and parliamentary elections are held every four years.
In June, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said she was willing to resign, following weeks of protests over two mass shootings in May.
Brnabic said she favored an early election by year's end, but left the decision to President Vucic, who said the vote could be expected by year's end.
The snap elections would mean voters will head to the polls for the third time in four years.
