By Talha Ozturk

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) – The Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilovic, met Wednesday with Major General Ozkan Ulutas, the commander of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), the NATO-led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo.

Mojsilovic said he discussed cooperation between Serbia and KFOR with Ulutas, who is preparing to hand over his duties soon.

He noted that the security situation in Serbia's autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija was volatile and sensitive due to unilateral moves by the Pristina provisional institutions aimed at changing the ethnic composition in the north of the province.

Mojsilovic thanked Ulutas for his professionalism and wished him success in his new duties.

Türkiye will hand over the command of KFOR on Oct. 11, which it assumed on Oct. 10, 2023, at a ceremony at KFOR's headquarters in Kosovo’s capital Pristina.

The command of KFOR will be handed over from Turkish Major General Ozkan Ulutas to Italian Major General Enrico Barduani.
