BEIRUT (AA) - One person was killed and another critically injured Thursday from an Israeli airstrike on a house in the town of Sohmor in eastern Lebanon's Bekaa region.

Lebanon’s official news agency, NNA, said “hostile aerial attacks by Israeli warplanes” were recorded in western Bekaa.

It reported a strike that targeted a home in the town of Meidoun, one on a house in the town of Machgharah in the Nabi Noun area and a third zeroed in on a fuel station in Libbaya.

Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes targeting the Al-Ayn and Regie areas in the town of Ghazieh in Nabatieh province in southern Lebanon.

The news agency later reported airstrikes on Ghazieh and Qennarit, as well as one between the Babliyeh and Ansariyehin in the Zahrani region.

Warplanes targeted the area between Tayr Debba and Aabbasiyyeh in the southern city of Tyre in another attack.

NNA said airstrikes also hit Aadchit El Qsair in the Marjaayoun district in southern Lebanon.

And Israeli artillery shelled the Wadi El Aassafir area in the border town of Khiam, while warplanes targeted a house in Borj Rahhal near Tyre, causing property damage but no injuries were reported.

A separate Israeli drone attack targeted a car in Haouch in eastern Tyre, with no injuries reported.

Thursday’s attack totaled 115, resulting in 60 deaths and 81 injuries, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Israel has pounded Lebanon since early Monday with strikes that have killed at least 677 victims and injured more than 2,500, according to figures released by the Health Ministry.

The Lebanese resistance group, Hezbollah, and Israel have been engaged in cross-border warfare since the start of Israel's onslaught against Gaza, which has killed more than 41,500 victims, mostly women and children, following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, last Oct. 7.

The international community has warned against the strikes on Lebanon, as they raise the specter of spreading the Gaza conflict regionally.
