JERUSALEM (AA) - The Israeli army on Friday said one reservist soldier was critically injured in fighting in northern Gaza.
An Israeli military statement said that the reservist from the Bislamach Brigade’s 6828th Battalion was transferred to hospital.
According to Israeli military figures, at least 634 soldiers have been killed and 3,581 others injured since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict on Oct. 7, 2023.
Israel has continued its brutal offensive on Gaza despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.
At least 35,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, the vast majority being women and children, and over 80,200 others injured since October following an attack by Hamas.
More than seven months into the Israeli war, vast swathes of Gaza lay in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
