MOSCOW (AA) – One person was killed and two others were injured in Ukrainian forces' shelling oF Russia's Belgorod region on Friday, its Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"According to preliminary information, one civilian was killed. ... Also, there are two injured in the city," the official wrote on Telegram.
The killed person was at his workplace in a shop at the time of the shelling and sustained multiple shrapnel wounds to the torso. The paramedic arrived at the scene and attempted to save his life "to the last," but died, he said.
Gladkov said two residential houses and four cars were damaged in the shelling.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that it had shot down 10 Czech-made Vampire multiple rocket launchers over the Belgorod region.
