TUBAS, Palestine (AA) – One Palestinian was killed and three others were injured on Friday when the Israeli army raided a town in the northern West Bank.
The Israeli forces stormed the town of Akkabe in the Tubas district of the West Bank, and surrounded a house, according to eyewitnesses.
The residents of the town reacted when Israeli soldiers demanded that the Palestinians inside the besieged house surrender.
A conflict erupted between Israeli soldiers and armed individuals in the region, and some Palestinians were detained by the soldiers.
Four Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces' gunfire during the clashes in Akkabe town, local hospital sources said.
One of the injured being treated at Tubas Turkish Hospital lost his life, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced.
The Israeli forces also obstructed the transfer of the wounded to the hospital, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The soldiers targeted the besieged house with two rockets in order to capture a wanted individual.
It was alleged that the individuals hiding in the house were members of a cell that carried out an armed operation a month ago, according to WAFA.
