ANKARA (AA) - Iranian authorities said on Friday that one Iranian soldier and four militants were killed during a security operation in the southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province.
A spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps told the state news agency IRNA that three civilians were injured during the operation, which targeted "terrorist militants" in the Rask region.
He said that the Iranian soldier was killed during the fire exchange with the militants.
A vehicle, along with a large amount of weapons and ammunition, was seized during the operation.
