GAZA (AA) - Ten Palestinians were killed Saturday in Israeli airstrikes that targeted two houses in the central Gaza Strip.
The Al-Awda Hospital said in a statement that it received four bodies and several victims who were injured as a result of an Israeli aircraft targeting a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Gaza's Civil Defense also reported via Telegram that six Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli shelling of a house in the Bureij camp. The exact number of casualties was not specified.
It added that teams are working to extract victims from under the rubble.
Witnesses told Anadolu that Israeli warplanes destroyed two houses -- one belonging to the Gharab family in the Nuseirat camp and the other from the Khalifa family in the Bureij camp.
The witnesses said children and women were among the martyrs and wounded who were transported by medical teams.
More than 38,900 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 89,600 injured since Israel began an onslaught against Gaza following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, on Oct. 7, according to local health authorities.
Over nine months into the Israeli assault, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered it to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
