ANKARA (AA) – The English Premier League announced on Monday that 103 new positive coronavirus cases had been confirmed among players and club staff.
The top-flight league announced that out of 15,186 COVID-19 tests administered on Dec. 20-26, a total of 103 of them were positive.
This number is the highest recorded this season, more than the previous week's 90 positive cases.
The Premier League has gone back to emergency measures and has increased testing of players and club staff to daily.
The measures also include protocols such as wearing face coverings while indoors, observing social distancing, and limiting treatment time.
