ISTANBUL (AA) - At least 16 people were injured in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia due to a Russian airstrike, local authorities said on Sunday.
Zaporizhzhia governor Ivan Fedorov said the wounded, of which nine are women, five men and two children, sought medical attention due to the morning attack.
Fedorov claimed that 13 guided bombs were launched on Zaporizhzhia, affecting the city’s Oleksandrivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Komunarskyi districts.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the city’s infrastructure and railway were also damaged during the attack.
He said Russia has used almost 900 aerial bombs, over 300 attack drones, and more than 40 missiles on Ukraine during the past week.
Russia’s attacks know “no pause, and it can only be stopped by the unity of the world—unity in supporting Ukraine and unity in putting pressure on Russia for the war,” he added.
