ANKARA (AA) - At least 17 people were killed and 34 others injured in a road accident in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province on Tuesday, police said.
Officials at Baghlan Police Headquarters said that 17 people lost their lives and 34 others were injured after a passenger bus plunged into a ravine in Takhta Sang area of Khanjan district, local broadcaster RTA reported.
The dead and injured were transported to the central hospital of Pul-e-Khumri city.
The deceased included three children, and two women. Some of the injured passengers are stated to be in critical condition.
