BEIRUT (AA) - The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, said early Monday that two of its members were killed in clashes in the Israeli area of Hanita near the Lebanese border.
The group said the two members were killed late Sunday “while carrying out the heroic operation at the Hanita military site.”
It noted that the operation took place after infiltrating through Israel’s security fence.
Since Oct. 7, the southern Lebanese border has witnessed tension and attacks between Israel on one side and Palestinian factions and the Lebanese Hezbollah group on the other, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries on both sides.
