ISTANBUL (AA) – Two people were found dead while two others went missing after a motorboat carrying at least 37 capsized on Wednesday in waters off Indonesia.
The GT-6 vessel departed from Ambo Island in Bala-Balakang Islands towards Sumare Pier in Mamuju Regency in West Sulawesi province on Wednesday.
Search and rescue personnel evacuated 33 passengers safely to a regional police hospital, Jakarta-based Antara News reported.
According to authorities, the vessel capsized after being hit by a massive wave.
A search for the missing passengers is underway.
