Two French fighter jets crashed in eastern France on Wednesday, the country’s defense minister said.
An accident involving two Rafale jets took place in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, west of the city of Strasbourg, Sebastien Lecornu announced on X.
“One of the pilots was found, he is safe and sound. The search is still underway,” he added, thanking the armed forces and the gendarmes for their efforts to secure the area.
Regional daily L’Est Republicain said that two other military pilots, including an instructor, are being looked for.
