BEIRUT (AA) – Israeli warplanes launched fresh airstrikes in Lebanon on Tuesday, injuring at least two people and incurring damage to infrastructure.
An Israeli drone fired a missile into a vehicle in Beqaa in eastern Lebanon, leaving two people injured, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Fighter jets also carried out airstrikes in the towns of Labbouneh, Naqoura and Hamoul in southern Lebanon, but no information was yet available about injuries.
Heavy damage to infrastructure was reported in another Israeli raid in the border town of Ayta al-Shaab, according to Lebanese media.
Tensions have spiked along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv pressed ahead with a brutal onslaught on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 41,000 people since Oct. 7 following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas.
