ISTANBUL (AA) - Two Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip are holding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responsible for their captivity and safety, according to a video released Thursday.

The video released on Telegram by the Palestinian resistance group Islamic Jihad’s military wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, showed Hanna Katzir, 77, and Yagil Yaakov, 13, from Kibbutz Nir Oz.

Katzir held Natanyanhu responsible for “the entire problem, for what is happening here, and for the turmoil in the world.”

She urged him to resign and retire and urged her government to reach an agreement so all of the hostages in the Gaza Strip could return to their families.

Katzir said: “The (Islamic) Jihad fighters did everything to keep us safe. They treated us in a very respectful manner.”

The teen directed his message to Netanyahu: "You are killing Israeli children and prisoners."

"You cut off water, electricity and medicine, and we, as prisoners, need all of that," he added.

The Al-Quds Brigades expressed readiness to release the two hostages “for humanitarian reasons.”

On Thursday, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, said an Israeli female soldier, who was being held captive, was killed in an Israeli airstrike.

That brought the death toll of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip to 61, while the Al-Qassam Brigades said another soldier being held hostage had been injured in the strike.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7, during which it took dozens of hostages.

At least 10,812 Palestinians, including 4,324 children and 2,823 women, have been killed.

The Israeli death toll is nearing 1,600, according to official figures.
