JERUSALEM (AA) -The Israeli army said Thursday that the International Red Cross indicated that is received two Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip who were later transferred to a location near the border of the enclave.
“According to information provided by the Red Cross, the organization has received two Israeli detainees who are on their way to Israeli territory,” it said in a statement. “In the coming hours, it is expected that other Israeli hostages will be transferred to the Red Cross.”
The Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, released the two hostages on the seventh day of a temporary humanitarian pause with Israel in a deal that was mediated by Qatar, Egypt and the US which began Nov. 24.
