JERUSALEM (AA) - Two Israeli security guards were injured in a suspected stabbing attack in the occupied West Bank, police said Sunday.
A police statement said the attack took place at a checkpoint near the Mishor Adumim industrial area.
The attacker was “neutralized,” police said, without providing any further details.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said the two guards sustained minor injuries in the attack.
The attack came amid rising tensions across the occupied West Bank as the Israeli army continued its attacks on the Gaza Strip.
At least 527 Palestinians have been killed and 3,800 others injured by Israeli army fire in the West Bank since Oct. 7, according to the Health Ministry.
