ISTANBUL (AA) – Two people were killed in an Israeli drone strike on Thursday in southern Syria, according to the state news agency SANA.
An Israeli missile hit a car in the town of Khan Arnabeh on Damascus-Quneitra highway, leaving two people dead, SANA said.
Artillery shelling also targeted al-Rafid town, southwestern countryside of Quneitra province, injuring one person, the broadcaster said.
The attacks came a few days after at least 14 people were killed and 43 others injured in Israeli airstrikes on Sunday targeting several sites in the Masyaf area in Hama countryside in west-central Syria.
Israel has been conducting airstrikes in Syria since 2011 against regime forces, Iranian troops and Hezbollah targets.
