ANKARA (AA) - English Premier League side Manchester City Friday announced that Gabriel Jesus, Kyle Walker, and two club staffers had contracted the novel coronavirus.
“All four personnel will now observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine,” the club said in a statement.
“Everyone at the Club wishes our colleagues a speedy recovery over the Christmas period ahead of their return to work, training and competition.”
Jesus and Walker were on the pitch on Tuesday in the team’s 4-1 victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup quarter final.
Both players are expected to miss at least two games, including Manchester City’s matches against Newcastle United on Saturday and Everton on Monday in the Premier League.
