RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – Two Palestinians were injured Sunday in an Israeli raid in the West Bank city of al-Bireh, according to the health ministry.
A ministry statement said one Palestinian was injured in the head and was in serious condition, while the other sustained moderate injuries.
Israeli forces had raided the city and searched a number of houses there, triggering clashes with Palestinian residents, according to local residents.
There was no comment from the Israeli military on the report.
The Israeli army carries out frequent arrest campaigns across the West Bank -- including occupied East Jerusalem -- on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians.
