ISTANBUL (AA) - Two Russian Navy ships have arrived in China for a “friendly visit.”
The ships belonging to Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet reached Shanghai, China's biggest city on the central coast, on Wednesday, according to the Chinese daily Global Times.
The ships’ seven-day visit comes two days after Moscow and Beijing on Monday agreed to cooperate in professional fields and make positive contributions to maintaining regional and world peace and stability.
Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Yevmenov met with China’s Defense Minister Gen. Li Shangfu in Beijing on Monday where the two discussed bilateral and regional issues.
