MOSCOW (AA) - The Russian Defense Ministry said Tuesday that two Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers conducted a seven-hour training flight above neutral waters of the Sea of Japan.
It said Su-35S and Su-30SM fighter jets accompanied the flight, which was conducted "in strict accordance with the international rules for the use of airspace."
The ministry also said long-range aviation pilots regularly fly above the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic and Pacific oceans as well as over the Black Sea and the Baltic.
