ANKARA (AA) - Turkish security forces “neutralized” two terrorists in the country’s eastern Van province, the country’s National Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"There is no way for the terrorists attempting to infiltrate. Two PKK terrorists, who responded to the ‘surrender’ calls by security forces with fire at the Caldiran/Van border line, were neutralized with their weapons,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The only salvation for terrorists is to surrender to Turkish justice," the statement added.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
