At least 20 Palestinians were killed and many others injured on Saturday in a series of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian official news agency Wafa reported that “20 citizens, including children and women, were killed and others were injured on Saturday as a result of the continuous bombardment by occupation aircraft north of Gaza City.”
Medical sources reported that at least 10 Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli attack on a house next to shelter centers in Beit Hanoun.
Another 10 Palestinians were killed and 17 others were injured in an Israeli attack targeting the Al-Nazla School in the Al-Saftawi area, the sources added.
Israel continues its brutal offensive on Gaza despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.
Over 35,850 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, the vast majority being women and children, and nearly 80,300 others injured since October following an attack by Hamas.
More than seven months into the Israeli war, vast swathes of Gaza lay in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
Israel is accused of “genocide” at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which in its latest ruling has demanded Israel halt its operation in Rafah, a city in southern Gaza where more than a million displaced Palestinians were seeking refuge.
