ANKARA (AA) - The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Thursday unveiled the squad of the 2021-22 All-EuroLeague First Team.

Mike James of Monaco, Shane Larkin of Anadolu Efes, Nikola Mirotic of Barcelona, Walter Tavares of Real Madrid, and Sasha Vezenkov of Olympiacos were voted into the first five of the squad by the media, fans, team captains, and head coaches.

Vezenkov is the only newcomer to the All-EuroLeague first team this season, while Mirotic and Tavares were previously named for the last season's squad.

Mirotic, who was voted to the All-EuroLeague team for the fourth time during his career, also led the EuroLeague's 2021-22 season with an average 19.4 performance index rating (PIR).

The PIR, a basketball mathematical statistical formula used by the EuroLeague, evaluates players' general efficiency in the game and is used to determine the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.

Larkin was a second team choice for 2020-21 EuroLeague season, while James was in the second team in the 2018-19 season.
