JERUSALEM (AA) – The Israeli army detected 24 missiles launched from Lebanon towards northern Israel on Friday, the Israeli Army Radio reported.
The missile launch coincided with the sounding of sirens in several settlements near the Lebanese border, the radio added.
No casualties were reported.
Tensions have flared along the Lebanese-Israeli border amid intermittent exchanges of fire between the Lebanese Hezbollah group and Israeli forces in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
The border tension came amid an Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
