ANKARA (AA) - At least 25 people were killed when a fire broke out in a building in the city of Xinyu in eastern China's Jiangxi Province on Wednesday, state-run broadcaster China Global Television Network reported.
Firefighters arrived on the spot soon after the blaze began and started working to extinguish the flames. No further details, including a probable cause of the fire, were provided.
This is the second fire incident In China involving casualties in less than a week.
Last Saturday, at least 13 people were killed when a fire broke out in a school dormitory in the central Henan Province.
