ANKARA (AA) - Turkish officials have seized more than 60 kilograms of cocaine worth around $3.4 million from a container at an Istanbul port, the Ministry of Customs and Trade announced Tuesday.
Customs teams at the Ambarli port discovered the narcotics after detecting an area of "suspicious" density in the cooler of a container on a Singapore-flagged ship, according to the announcement.
Teams and detector dogs recovered 62 kilograms of cocaine valued at 12.5 million lira (more than $3.44 million) at the suspected spot.
