BOGOTA, Colombia (AA) – At least three people were killed and five others missing in floods and landslides in Bolivia, local media reported.
Heavy rainfall in the city of Potosi, which has been ongoing since the weekend, has resulted in casualties and property damage.
Rivers have overflowed, submerging agricultural lands and leading to the flooding of hundreds of homes.
Bolivian President Luis Arce extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster.
It was reported that 8 tons of aid materials have been delivered to the regions severely affected by the flood, and search and rescue operations are still underway.
