PARIS (AA) – A far-right group raided a Palestine-themed conference in France's Lyon city slightly injuring three people, according to local media on Saturday.

Local daily Le Progres reported the Palestine 69 Community held a conference on Palestine in Lyon. The conference, attended by approximately 100 people, was raided by a group of 40 to 60 people, wearing masks and carrying sticks and fireworks.

The participants tried to prevent the group from entering the conference area and barricaded themselves with chairs and tables in front of the door of the hall.

The far-right group threw fireworks at the entrance of the conference area and escaped before police teams arrived at the scene.

A total of three people were slightly injured, and one far-right extremist was detained.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip – including hospitals, residences, and houses of worship – since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Oct. 7.

At least 11,078 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women. The Israeli death toll is around 1,200, according to official figures.
