JERUSALEM (AA) – At least three Israelis were injured when a rocket allegedly fired from Gaza hit a building in Tel Aviv, Israeli medics reported on Friday.

In a statement, the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service said one of the injured was taken to the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, while the two others suffered minor injuries and were treated on site.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army said sirens were sounded across Tel Aviv to alert people about the rockets, and confirmed that one of the rockets landed on a residential building.

Palestinian groups from Gaza continue to fire rockets towards Israeli territories in response to the ongoing Israeli onslaught on Gaza.

The conflict in Gaza began when the Palestinian group Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood – a multi-pronged surprise attack on Oct. 7 that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air.

Hamas said the incursion was in retaliation for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and growing violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians.

The Israeli military then launched a relentless bombardment of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

Over 8,700 people have been killed in the conflict, including at least 7,326 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis.
