ATHENS (AA) - At least three minor girls died after a migrant boat capsized off the coast of the Greek island of Chios, local media reported on Wednesday.
Some 19 migrants have been rescued by the Hellenic Coast Guard, including 8 minors, with the youngest said to be 30 days old, according to state-run broadcaster ERT.
Authorities estimated that 22 people were on board the boat, with the broadcaster reporting that the migrants are from Afghanistan.
Local media reported that the mother of the three minors who lost their lives is hospitalized with her two other children.
