BEIRUT (AA) — Three more Hezbollah fighters were killed in clashes with Israeli forces near the border between the two sides, the Lebanese group said on Wednesday.
The group identified the slain fighters as Hassan Saab, Jihad Hayek, and Hassan Ahmad, without providing details on the circumstances leading to their death.
The additional fatalities brought the number of Hezbollah fighters killed in clashes with Israeli forces since Oct. 8, 2023 to 345, according to an Anadolu tally based on statements released by the group.
Tensions have risen along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv presses ahead with its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 37,400 people since last October following an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas.
