GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - Three Palestinians were killed and four others injured on Saturday in Israeli airstrikes targeting a residential home and civilian gathering in northern Gaza’s Jabalia area, as the region continues to endure a devastating 22-day-long offensive.
Medical sources reported to Anadolu that Israeli forces struck a home in Jabalia, resulting in three fatalities and multiple injuries.
Another airstrike in the nearby Jabalia Nazla area left four people injured, but access to medical aid remains blocked.
Ambulances have been unable to reach the injured due to a blockade and reports of Israeli forces firing at anything that moves.
Witnesses noted extensive shelling and air raids across northern Gaza, with homes set ablaze as artillery and airstrikes continued in various neighborhoods.
Israeli ground incursions and bombardments, meanwhile, continue across northern Gaza as the army pushes to evacuate the area through forced displacement.
Flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel has continued a devastating offensive on Gaza since an attack last year by Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
Nearly 43,000 people have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 100,000 others injured, according to local health authorities.
The Israeli onslaught has displaced almost the territory’s entire population amid an ongoing blockade that has led to severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
