IDLIB, Syria (AA) – Three protesters were injured by Syrian regime forces on Wednesday in the southern city of Suwayda, according to local sources.
Protesters gathered outside the headquarters of the ruling Ba’ath Party in Suwayda amid chants demanding the departure of regime head Bashar al-Assad, the sources said.
Regime forces opened fire on the protesters, injuring three people, the sources added.
In recent weeks, several regime-held areas, including in Suwayda and Daraa provinces, saw protests against rising fuel prices and deteriorating living conditions in the country.
