BEIRUT (AA) - Three Syrian children were killed in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, according to Lebanese media.
The fatalities occured when a drone hit a farmland in the town of Am Toot, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Another drone strike targeting a water reservoir was reported in the town of Yarine. Israeli forces also shelled the town of Kafrkela with phosphorus shells, the broadcaster said.
No information was yet available about injuries or damage.
There was no comment from the Israeli military on the report.
Fears have grown of a full-fledged war between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah amid an exchange of cross-border attacks. The escalation comes against the backdrop of a deadly Israeli onslaught on Gaza, which has killed over 38,700 people since last October, following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
