IDLIB, Syria (AA) – Five civilians, including three women, were killed and another was injured in an attack by Syrian regime forces in the northwestern province of Aleppo on Thursday, according to sources in the Syrian opposition's Civil Defense, who added that the victims belonged to the same family.
Regime forces and Iran-backed terrorist groups stationed in Kafr Aleppo town shelled Kafr Nouran village, a source in the Civil Defense told Anadolu.
The source noted that the attack killed five civilians, including three women, and injured one.
The victims are all from the same family, he added.
Syria has been embroiled in a vicious civil war since early 2011 when the Bashar al-Assad regime cracked down on pro-democracy protests with unexpected ferocity.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and more than 10 million others displaced, according to UN estimates.
