ANKARA (AA) - The 32nd anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence was celebrated Tuesday with a reception at a hotel in Türkiye’s capital, Ankara.
It was attended by Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bahtiyar Saidov, Ambassador Alisher Azamhocayev and several Turkish officials.
"Today, a new Türkiye is rising, achieving unparalleled successes in front of the world, enhancing the country's reputation and potential. The people of Uzbekistan joyfully embrace every success of Türkiye,” said Saidov during his speech, emphasizing Türkiye's significant achievements in its history.
Saidov noted that cooperation in the tourism sector between Ankara and Tashkent has entered a new phase, and they aim to enhance collaboration across all fields.
"We are inclined to further develop cooperation with Türkiye," he said, emphasizing the significant potential between the two countries.
He said that Uzbekistan aims to host more Turkish citizens and highlighted that in recent years, cooperation between the two countries has reached its peak thanks to the will of their leaders.
In response, Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gokhan Yazgi stressed his country’s ongoing commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, development initiatives and tourism efforts.
