ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's current account deficit is expected to have been $4.1 billion in October, a panel of economists said Friday.
A group of 14 experts questioned by Anadolu Agency projected the figure ahead of Monday’s announcement of October’s deficit.
They forecast that the year-end current account deficit would reach $42.5 billion -- with the highest forecast at $45 billion and the lowest at $37 billion.
Turkey's current account deficit in September was $4.5 billion, with a 12-month rolling deficit of $39.3 billion, according to the Turkish Central Bank.
