KANO, Nigeria (AA) - At least four people were killed in a suspected gas explosion in northern Nigeria on Tuesday, police said.
The explosion occurred in the Sabon Gari area of the Kano state, said Samaila Dikko, the state police commissioner.
Several injured have been rushed to hospital.
Security agencies have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation, while a rescue operation was also underway.
Malam Muhammad Garba, the state commissioner for information, said the incident happened at an animal feed store in the Sabon Gari area.
